On the afternoon of September 22nd, The Opening Ceremony and Orientation for School of Oceangraphy 2024 Freshmen, as well as the First Lecture by the Dean, at N100, Xinshangyuan, Xuhui Campus. Participants included Su Jilan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Academic Committee of SOO; Zhou Meng, Dean of SOO; Li Wei, Party Secretary; Zhou Lei, Vice Dean; Tian Bingxue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Xu Yan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Host of the Ceremony; Zhang Beichen, Deputy Director of the China Polar Research Center (China Polar Research Institute); Xue Bin, Director of the Graduate Education Center of the Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources; representatives of the SOO faculty; and all 2024 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral freshmen.
