The general labour union membership meeting and general election meeting of the School of oceanography (SOO) were held in Lecture Hall No.100 of the Engineering Building on Dec 15. About 60 people attended the meeting, including Yu Chaoyang, president of the SJTU labour union.

Xu Yan was elected as the new president of SOO labour union, while Hang Chaoxun as the deputy president, Qiu Jin, and Zhou Xiaoying were elected as members of the new labour union committee member.

The labour union of SOO aims to become a strong backing that the staff trust, and constantly enhance the faculty's sense of sense of fulfillment, happiness and security.
